About Us
Rally for Aly, Inc., a qualified 501(c)(3), was formed to honor our daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Alyssa Pape. As an infant, Aly was diagnosed with Marfan syndrome, a genetic connective tissue condition that affects the heart, aorta, eyes and skeletal system. She received frequent care at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. In early 2005, Aly was found to have Loeys-Dietz syndrome, a condition closely related to Marfan syndrome, that was named by doctors that very year. In June 2005, at just 16 years of age, Aly suffered an aortic aneurysm that took her life. Her loss was devastating to all who loved her. We channel our grief and honor her amazing spirit by raising critical funds for the Alyssa Ann Pape Endowment Fund, which helps the Herma Heart Institute at Children’s Wisconsin provide kids with the same first-class care Aly received. Rally for Aly also supports the Alyssa Pape scholarship at Pius XI Catholic High School in Milwaukee, WI.
